The Wandering Madman is back again, this time with an emotional piece of music that has a strong heart and message behind it. The message is “You are lost but not forgotten.” These are powerful words outside the concept behind it. Add on that concept and you have The Wandering Madman’s new song “Cigarettes and Sidewalks.” What is that concept you ask? This piece is about the lost and fallen soldiers in an utterly pointless war. The images used in the video were compiled from nearly 5000 images. Images gathered from http://militarytimes.com/valor. Keep in mind this track was recorded live using loop stations, and live video effects. It’s a beautiful piece of music with an even more beautiful message. Much Love. As Fro states…”War is easy to ignore when you don’t have to look it in the eyes. Good luck.”
Here is Fro’s statement about this song:
Audio & Video recorded live. Please read the information below.
You are lost, but not forgotten.
Images gathered from http://militarytimes.com/valor. Please note that no picture is shown more than once. I wish I could give each image enough time to be seen clearly, but alas there are just too many.
In November of 2010 I compiled the pictures of all our fallen soldiers as close to 5,000 US troops had been killed in action. Six months later, as I release this video, the number has reached over 6,000.
This video is dedicated to the sons, daughters, mothers and fathers who should still be with us today. Regardless of your politic, you can not disagree that the best place for these fallen soldiers would have been at home with their families this weekend. Also, let us not forget the 50,000 troops that are still in harms way, still wondering if they are going to make it home.
It’s easy to reply “War is hell” but let us not ignore the fact that war is an extremely profitable business. Rich men in suits sign a piece of paper, make billions of dollars and send your children off to die. Buy hey, it’s nothing personal… it’s just business. Yet they manage to hide their ugly heads under the patriotic false pretenses of freedom and justice for all.
It is not fair that we send our family members to die while we watch Haliburtons stock rise 10 fold since we started this war. 10 FOLD! And they are only one of the many companies who profit from this war and only one of the companies who has advocated and lobbied that the war must continue.
Look at it from their point of view. Heaven forbid if the war ended, they would be out of business,
War is easy to ignore when you don’t have to look it in the eyes. Good luck.
