“Chris Robinson Brotherhood – Big Moon Ritual” Review – A great new album with an old school feel.

Chris Robinson Brotherhood

Chris Robinson is better known as the singer for The Black Crowes. In his new project, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, he continues the great vocals, but with a different band sound. The album includes more keyboards and more of a jam feel than the traditional Black Crowes. It reminds me of The Black Crowes meets The Grateful Dead meets Pink Floyd. What could be better!

The new cd gets a 5/5 star rating in my book. The keyboards are experimental and Chris’ melodies and vocals are better than ever. Add in a great jam guitarist and drummer and you get a superior album. In my eyes, it’s one of the best releases so far in 2012. The music is well written, well arranged, and it isn’t just a Chris Robinson solo cd. He includes the full band and gives everyone a chance to shine for a well balanced album.
