50in1 Piano is a great new app which allows the user to customize piano sounds. It’s a great app used alongside an iRig Midi connection with the iPad, iPod, or iPhone. The great thing is that you can connect this to your midi controller and have a great sounding keyboard with a lot of control.

This app has some great out of the box presets which rival Apple’s garageband. I like the easy to configure 3 band equalizer, as well as the different options for configuring how many piano tiers you play with. It’s a bit cumbersome on the iPhone and Ipod, but with the iRig Midi, your controller will defeat this issue. The iPad however offers a large enough screen for my fat fingers.

Overall, it’s a great app with nice warm lows, which is something that is usually lacking on the iDevices.
